Update Saturday, October 16, 2010 ~I have a boyfriend and he's my first American bf and he's southern!!!! It all just happened so fast ~ he came up to me at lunch and introduced himself and invited me to a party. I was thinking UMMMMMM COLLEGE PARTY OH NO. But hey he is cute, and said Only if I can bring my friends (in case he turned out to be a drunken creep which is what I expect when I hear about such a party) Then we started to talk at the little table I was at, I don't even know what of. He has hot eyes that really triggered a melting effect in my brain. So because of that I was thinking how weird and dazed I must have sounded, I was so surprised he called me the next day. We had a few dates, after hearing how I love persian food (which he happens to be half of) he invited me over for a persian dinner!! HAHA Ahhhh! I was like wowww that's really romantic sounding and so thoughtful! That was the night we sealed our status as bf/gf (and made the big leap of putting it on facebook. LOL his idea!) But really we've only known eachother for like 3 weeks... ~I have been anticipating things like horseback riding, fishing (with hands) and tractor riding. He told me he'd have me shooting a gun some time soon. (Because those are all common hobbies here?) ~He's half Iranian so I was drawn to this, but he isn't hardcore ethnic. He told me (on the beach at night) I'm the first person he ever met that has a different culture besides him. He's really all-american there is nothing iranian about him except he was telling me about how he has to hate iraqis and arabs because his dad said so. LOL! Maybe he is too american for me?? I mean how can I date someone who doesn't dance and doesn't eat dishes with 15 different spices and sing along to foreign radio? ~He's a marine. Have learned quickly from him and his friends that marines are not the same thing as soldiers!?!!! Did you know that? lol... they all go to war that's the way I see it. I was invited to the military ball!! My mom said WOW that's a very elegant occasion! It's bigger than prom! And of course she wants me to wear my pink sparkly sequined prom dress :/ I hated that dress the first time around... |
